Sightseeing in Guhagar

Mauli Nivas is located less than a kilometre from Guhagar bus depot. Come out of the homestay and head left to reach the Vyadeshwar Shiva temple just ahead of the Guhagar bus depot. Right behind the temple is the start of the path leading to the pristine white sand beach of Guhagar.

Guhagar located south of Vashishti river is the start of white sand beaches in Maharashtra. Lined by 'suru' trees Guhagar beach has a very tranquil feel which percolates in Guhagar. Water sports facilities are also available here. Almost six kilometer long stretch of white sand beach starts at Baug in the north and extends uptil Asgoli. Asgoli in he south aso has Valukeshwar temple another temple amongst the scores of temples in Guhagar.

As you return from the beach head left to reach the Durga Devi temple another prominent temple of the region. Another important sightseeing option in Guhagar is the lighthouse located in Anjanwel. The anjanwel lighthouse open to public in the evening offers some breathtaking vies of the arabian sea. The ancient Gopalgad fort is located nearby.
